Cincinnati, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph Women's Soccer team celebrated homecoming weekend with a commanding 3-0 victory against the Franklin College Grizzlies.
From the start, the Lions seized control, showcasing their offensive prowess with 19 shots compared to Franklin's four.
Mary Anhofer set the tone with an early attempt just three minutes into the game, but it wasn't until the 35th minute that
Ella Pittman found the back of the net for the first goal.
The Lions continued their momentum into the second half, with
Kerigan Pollard scoring just a minute after the break, assisted by
Payge Callahan.
Mckenzie Schneeman quickly followed up with another goal in the 55th minute, courtesy of
Paige Adams' assist.
With this win, the Lions maintain their dominance over Franklin, having defeated them for the fifth consecutive year. They also remain at the top of the HCAC standings.
