Cincinnati, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph women's soccer team put on a dominant display against Bluffton University, securing a clear victory in their last regular season match at Schueler Field.
The Lions wasted no time establishing their dominance, with
Ella Pittman netting two goals within the first five minutes. Additional goals came from
Kerigan Pollard,
Mckenzie Schneeman,
Kaitlyn Lampe,
Mary Litzinger, and
Alexa Simpson, contributing to a total of seven goals for the match.
Pittman was the standout star, finishing with a hat trick. The Lions showcased their offensive prowess, firing off 19 shots, with 15 landing on target. With a roster of 26 players, the team saw contributions from the bench, with three goals coming from substitutes.
Defensively, the Lions were anchored by goalkeeper
Jordan Schneider, later supported by
Megan Kallmeyer. With a solid defensive line in front of them, they managed to limit the Beavers to just one goal.
