The Lion's started their offense early with the first goal of the game being scored in the first five minutes of play. The goal was scored by
McKinzie Dotson with the assist from
Mckenzie Schneeman. The Lions wouldn't give up after one goal, they went on to score two more goals in the first half.
Mary Anhofer found the net for the second goal with an assist from
Rachel Ginn, two minutes later the Lion's find it again,
Ella Pittman unassisted.
Defensively the Lions kept Transy off the board for the full 90-minutes, securing the teams 8th clean sheet of the season.
Jordan Schneider played all 90 minutes in goal for the Mount, saving all five shots she faced. Centerbacks
Vivian Willis and Mckinzie Dotson played all 90 minutes in front of Schneider and defensive midfielder
Paige Adams also went the distance.
With the win the Lions have secured a bye into the HCAC Championship semi-final match, where they will face the winner of the #4 Hanover vs. #5 Anderson match. That match will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Schueler Field. Â
