BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph men's basketball team hit the road on Tuesday, taking down the Bluffton Beavers 64-58.
The Lions were led by a pair of double-doubles,
Luke Collinsworth scored 22-points and pulled down 14-rebounds while
Dylan Hammonds scored 12-points and pulled down 10-rebounds.
The Lions carried an eight point lead into the halftime break, and never trailed in the second half. With 7:39 to play they held onto a game-high 14-point advantage, but Bluffton would begin to claw back into it. They cut the Mount's lead down to three with 1:36 to play, but a Collinsworth layup on the next possession put them back ahead by five. Bluffton missed a three-pointer on their next possession, and
Jack Kolar knocked in a pair of free-throws to put the game on ice.
Willard Cluxton scored nine-points in the game going, 3-5 from three-point range.
Matthew Menninger added seven-points to go along with three rebounds and four assists.
