Cincinnati, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph women's soccer team secured their first victory of the season with a narrow but hard-fought win over the Wittenberg Tigers at Schueler Field on Tuesday night.
The game was a tight battle from start to finish. Fueled by their recent offensive momentum, the Lions began the match with aggressive and determined attacking play. Their persistence paid off in the 52nd minute when
Mckenzie Schneeman scored the game's only goal, with a crucial assist from
Ella Pittman.
Defensively, the Mount was determined, keeping the Tigers at bay with a commanding performance. The Lions dominated in shots, registering 18 compared to Wittenberg's 7, showcasing their offensive pressure and defensive discipline.
