Cincinnati, Ohio- The Mount St. Joseph women's soccer team welcomed the Sewanee Tigers to Schueler Field, looking to build on the momentum of their first win. The Lions came out strong and played an impressive defensive game, keeping Sewanee scoreless.
Led by goalkeeper Jordan Schneider and a strong back line of Vivian Willis, Alondra Sotelo, McKinzie Dotson, and Alena Schirripa, the Lions' defense was impenetrable. Despite Sewanee's early pressure, including two shots within the first eight minutes, Mount St. Joseph held strong, limiting the Tigers to just six shots overall, with only four on target. As the game went on, Sewanee's offensive efforts faded, with their next shot not coming until the 48th minute.
Offensively, the Lions struggled to create chances, registering three shots in total. McKenzie Schneeman had the first attempt in the 15th minute, but neither side could break the deadlock, resulting in a hard-fought defensive battle.
