Franklin, Indiana — The Mount St. Joseph University women's team won 6-0 at Franklin College.
The Lions' offense came out firing in the first half. Kendal Fox scored in the 9th minute off an assist from Mary Anhofer. Ten minutes later, Kendal Fox scored again off an assist from Rikie Chase to give the Mount a 2-0 lead early. In the 38th minute, Bailey Dotson scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Kaitlyn Lampe. Less than two minutes later, the Lions scored a team goal. Just minutes before halftime, Presley Rugg found the back of the net, assisted by Alena Schirripa. The Mount went into halftime leading 5-0.
The Mount found the back of the net in the 54th minute off the foot of Anna Best, scoring her first goal of the season. The Lions' defense played outstandingly, allowing only one shot the entire match.
Up Next: The Lions will head to Madison, Indiana, on Wednesday, October 8, where they will take on the Hanover Panthers. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
