CINCINNATI, Ohio – After a standout second season as a member of the Mount St. Joseph football team, Eli Aston has earned recognition on a pair of All-America teams.
Aston was named a First-Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) on December 10 and was selected as a Second-Team All-American by the Associated Press (AP), announced today.
Following a remarkable first season at the Mount that saw him set a new school record for receiving yards in a season, Aston raised the bar even higher in year two. He broke the program's single-season record for touchdown receptions with 21. During the regular season, Aston led all of Division III in touchdown catches and ranked second nationally in receiving yards.
Across his two seasons with the Lions, Aston has produced video game–like numbers, totaling 142 receptions for 2,667 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Aston becomes the Lions' first postseason All-America selection since Cornell Beachem Jr. in 2022.
