Lions Finish New York Trip With Win Over Norwich

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Mount St. Joseph women's basketball team put together a strong performance on Saturday afternoon at the ARC Arena in the final game of the 2025 New York City Invitational, earning a 63–44 victory over Norwich University.

From the opening tip, the Lions asserted themselves on both ends of the floor. Mount St. Joseph built early momentum behind disciplined defense and efficient offense, outscoring Norwich 19–6 in the second quarter to break open a close game after an even start. The Lions continued to control the pace in the second half, maintaining a comfortable lead through the third quarter and extending their advantage in the final period with balanced scoring and strong rebounding.

Karlee Mills led the way with 12 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers and providing steady leadership throughout the game. Hailey Guingrich added 11 points while providing a strong presence inside, and Morgan Jenkins contributed nine points with solid play on both ends of the floor. Sam Price chipped in eight points, helping the Lions maintain offensive pressure.

Defensively, Mount St. Joseph limited Norwich's scoring opportunities throughout the contest, forcing turnovers and controlling the paint. Norwich struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm, scoring just 19 points in the second half as the Lions steadily pulled away.

The win wrapped up the Invitational on a positive note for Mount St. Joseph and provided momentum as the Lions return to regular-season play.
