Cole Carrigan led off with a base hit, an out later Anton Mere singled through the right side to put runners on the corners. Mere would then steal second Harley then reached on an error by the Emory short stop with Carrigan and Mere both scoring on the play.

From that point on both bullpens were locked in as neither team scored the rest of the game.
