MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The D3football.com 2025 Preseason All-America Team has been announced, marking the 26th year the national site has recognized the top players in Division III football.
Mount St. Joseph placed two standouts on the second team, as wide receiver Eli Aston and linebacker Luke Paff earned preseason honors.
After a record-breaking freshman campaign, Aston enters his sophomore season as one of the most explosive playmakers in the country. He set a program single-season record with 1,358 receiving yards, ranking fifth nationally, while also leading the Lions with 67 receptions and 13 touchdowns.
On the defensive side, Paff anchored the Lions' secondary with his ability to make plays in coverage. He finished third on the team with 55 tackles, including 29 solo stops and 3 tackles for loss. Paff also led the Lions with 6 interceptions and added 4 pass breakups to cap off an impressive season.
Aston, Paff, and the Lions kick off their 2025 campaign on September 6, when they travel to face Muskingum.
