WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph track and field programs had a select group of athletes represent the Mount at the 2026 All-Ohio meet hosted by Otterbein College in Westerville on Saturday.
On the women's side, Amanda Zerhusen was the big story as the sophomore was the winner of the 5000m race, running a personal record 18:36.60, winning the event by a staggering nearly 19 seconds.
Junior Sydney Williams finished 15th in the 60m prelims, narrowly missing out on an opportunity to compete in the finals. Her time of 8.24 seconds was a personal record for Williams.
In the mile run, it was Sicilia Eschman representing the Lions. Her time of 5:38.08 was good for eighth place in the event. Aunalesia Newhart registered a 1.43m in the high jump, while Londyn Frazier finished ninth in the triple jump with a 9.15m.
In the throwing events, freshman Sophie Rawlings got it started with an eighth place finish in the shot put, recording a personal best 11.63m throw. Asia Branch narrowly missed scoring team points with a ninth place finish, with a 14.87m weight throw.
On the men's side, Diego Yun had a solid showing in his prelim for the 60m dash but missed the final by a tenth of a second, finishing in ninth place with a 7.08.
The quartet of Ezekiel Thomas, Dylan Hammons, Chris Barrow, and Yun finished in fifth place in the 4x400 relay, earning four points toward the team total.
Kamren McFayden finished fifth in the triple jump with a 12.94m, earning four points toward the team score. He also finished 14th in the long jump in the event.

The Lions will host the Last Roar event next Saturday the 21st before hosting the 2026 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on February 28th in the Centennial Fieldhouse.
