SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Mount St. Joseph University men's volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Wittenberg University Tuesday night in MCVL conference action.
MATCH: MSJ 0 – WIT 3 (12-25, 16-25, 25-27)
The Lions battled throughout the match but were unable to overcome Wittenberg's early momentum, falling by scores of 25-12 and 25-16 in the opening two sets. Mount St. Joseph responded with its strongest effort in the third set, pushing the Tigers to extra points before narrowly falling 27-25 to complete the sweep.
Sophomore Carson Reed led the offensive effort with eight kills. Sophomore Brayden Bass dished out 12 assists, while freshman Will Croft added nine assists to help facilitate the Lions' attack. Defensively, sophomore Sean Murray paced MSJ with nine digs.
UP NEXT: The Lions remain in conference play as they travel to face Franklin College on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. for another MCVL matchup.
