CARMEL, Indiana - The Mount St. Joseph University softball program lands seven players on the 2026 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference all-league team's announced by the league office today! The Lions were rewarded after an HCAC season that saw them go 14-4 and win a share of the regular season Championship.
The Lions landed a trio of players on the All-HCAC first team,
Shelby Rakosky,
Lesleigh Reimers and
Skylar Fletcher. Rakosky put together one of the finest offensive season's in program history in 2026. She led the league hitting an even .500 on the year and hits with 74, she was also second in the league with 49 RBIs. Her 74 htis and 49 RBIs were both single-season school records. Reimers became the leader of the Lions pitching staff this season, compiling a 10-3 record with a 2.39 ERA and 40 strikeouts across 79 innings. While Fletcher handled the defensive duties in centerfield while hitting .385, with 8 doubles, 17 RBIs with a team high 10 stolen bases.
Earning a spot on the second-team was a quartet of Lions,
Avery Wiltermood,
Kayla Bain, Courtney Hankenhof and
Mollie Sharp. Wiltermood hit .354 on the year with 14 doubles, 3 homeruns and four stolen bases. In league play Bain hit an even .400 with 3 doubles and 10 driven in, while Hankenhof hit .423 with a homerun and six RBIs. Hankenhof also started two conference games in the circle with a 3.94 ERA . Across eight starts in league play, Sharp put together a 6-1 record with a 2.73 ERA while striking out 30, with the bat she hit .406 with 3 doubles and 9 RBIs.
