Support MSJ Wrestling

wrestleWe are grateful for your consideration in donating to the Mount St. Joseph University Wrestling Program! Our fundraising efforts play a vital role in the positive development and experiences of our program.

The MSJ Wrestling Program has been undergoing a rebirth in the past three years. When coach Mason joined the program the Lions had only three wrestlers, and in 2020-21 the team will have more than 30. Just this past season the team set a new program record for dual wins with 14, as well as had a pair of student-athletes qualify for the NCAA DIII Wrestling Championships. Returning All-America Selection Antonio McCloud and the nations No. 1, 174 pound wrestler Cornell Beachem Jr. were poised to represent The Mount and bring home the schools first National Championship. Their experience in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the Championships was cut short when the event was canceled due to Covid-19 concerns.

"We teach our kids to control the controlables, and our guys never flinched in that moment" Said Coach Mason. "That experience though was devestating to our program."

Going into his third season Coach Mason and the Lions have built a program that is quickly becoming one of the top in our region, and with your help could become a player on a national level. Coach Mason was recognized in 2019 as the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) DIII Rookie Coach of the Year. He followed that up by being named the NWCA DIII Central Region Coach of the year in 2020. The team has also had three All-America recognitions over the same timeframe, twice McCloud earned that honor and Beachem Jr. was on the list last season.

In giving to our program, 100% of the proceeds from these funds will be used to enhance the student-athlete experience and overall development of our team. Our hope is that you will continue to support our team by:
