Lane Little enters his seventh season with The Mount and second as both Wide Receivers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. He previously served as Running Backs Coach (2022-2023) and Tight Ends Coach (2020-2021), making significant contributions to the team’s success in each role.
Under Coach Little’s guidance, The Mount has produced numerous standout athletes, including HCAC Athlete of the Year Cornell Beachem JR., a First Team AFCA & D3 Football.com All-American, 1 HCAC Offensive Player of the Year, 2 All-Region selections, 4 First Team All-Conference selections, and 3 Second Team All-Conference honorees.
In his first season as Wide Receivers Coach, Little led the Lions to rank first in the HCAC in passing offense with 310.6 yards per game, and the team earned national recognition with a #10 ranking in passing offense and #11 in total offense. He coached wide receiver Eli Aston, who earned HCAC Offensive Player of the Year honors, 2nd Team All-Region, and 1st Team All-HCAC accolades. Aston also ranked 5th nationally in receiving yards, setting a new MSJ single-season record with 1,358 yards. Little also mentored two other 1st Team All-HCAC selections.
In 2023, the team’s rushing offense continued its dominance, amassing 2,018 yards and 17 touchdowns. Three MSJ running backs ranked in the top three in yards per carry in the HCAC, securing The Mount’s position as the premier rushing offense for a second consecutive year, averaging 227.5 yards per game. Senior running back Mariano McKenzie averaged 7.1 yards per carry and earned a top-10 national ranking.
In 2022, Little orchestrated a dominant running back group that racked up over 1,900 yards and 15 touchdowns, propelling the team to the top-ranked rushing attack in the HCAC. Beachem led the nation in All-Purpose Yards, and the unit collectively contributed over 500 receiving yards.
Coach Little earned his degree in Sport Administration from the University of Cincinnati in 2019, followed by a Master’s degree from UC in 2021.
