Coach Joel Scudder is in his 4th season as the men's basketball assistant at Mount St. Joseph University. 

Many will remember Scudder from his standout career as a member of the MSJ basketball program. He was instrumental in the program becoming a perennial contender inside the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. During his playing career at The Mount he was the HCAC's freshman of the year, a 3x first-team all league selection, 2x conference champ and helped the Lions to the programs first ever NCAA DIII Tournament birth. Along with the teams success during his tenure Coach Scudder's name is all over the MSJ record books, he currently sits at #2 in points scored in a career and is atop the list in 3-point field goals in a career.

Prior to coming back to The Mount, he spent 2 seasons as an assistant varsity coach at Harrison High School in Harrison, Ohio. 

Coach Scudder resides in Greendale, Indiana with his wife Kylee and his son Kirby!
