Coach Clark is in his second season as the helm of the Lions men’s soccer team. In his first campaign, Coach Clark doubled the amount of wins the team had previously. The lions were fortunate to score 10 more goals and give up 10 less goals than the previous year. MSJ was awarded 2 players as all conference 3rd team for the 2024 season.
Coach Clark came to the Mount after spending a season an Assistant Coach at Detroit Mercy, where he was also the recruiting coordinator. During his time in Detroit he also organized and prepared the programs ID camps, organized and executed the teams travel needs and coached a pair of all-conference players.
Prior to his time at Detroit Mercy, Anthony was an Assistant Coach at his Alma Mater Ohio Northern University. He was also the recruiting coordinator for the Ohio Northern program, helped with the fundraising events, organized ID camps, served as the teams offensive coach (coaching the forwards and attacking midfielders), coaching numerous All-OAC, All-Ohio, All-Region and All-America level players.
Outside of his college coaching experience, he has worked many Exact and CCSC Camps, been a head coach in the Cincinnati SC club and been an assistant coach at West Clermont High School here in the Greater Cincinnati area.
“We are excited to announce Coach Clark as our new head men’s soccer coach” said MSJ Director of Athletics Melanee Wagener. “We are confident that coach Clark will provide a new energy into that program and continue to help us build on our Championship Culture here at the Mount.”
“I am very excited to join the MSJ family and be the next head men’s soccer coach!” Said Coach Clark. “There is a vast amount of potential at the Mount and I am excited to tap into that potential. I am looking forward to helping create a winning culture and seeing what this program can achieve!”
