Mount softball team wins at Hanover College

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

The College of Mount St. Joseph traveled to Hanover College for a doubleheader against the Panthers, winning game one 4-1 and dropping the second game, 8-3. (The second game was later ruled "no contest" by the NCAA due to a protest by the Mount). The Lions, 6-24 overall, 4-9 in the HCAC, will be back in action on Apr. 30 playing at conference-foe Anderson University.

Katie Cohill (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) pitched a complete game in the opener against Hanover, allowing three hits, two walks and an unearned run, along with recording nine strikeouts, as she posted her fifth win of the 2011 season. The Mount scored single run in the first and fourth innings, and added two more runs in the seventh inning. Megan McCullough (Middletown, OH/Middletown) led the Lions' 11-hit attack with three hits, including a double, while teammate Nell Wilson (Cincinnati, OH/Ross) had two hits, including a double, and two RBI.
