THE BASICS
The Mount St. Joseph University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to Transylvania on Wednesday night, the Lions record is (9-17, 2-4 HCAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Keeping the first set close, the Lions lost 25-22. Jadah Jackson won the second set with a kill ending the game 26-24. The Lions then dropped the third set, 25-15 when the Pioneers hit .333 in the game. The Lions adjustments helped win the fourth set 25-23, and the Pioneers hitting percentage dropped to .057. The Lions dropped the deciding set 15-9.
STANDOUTS
Ali Rasche led all MSJ players with 13 kills and 10 digs. Jessica Wilgenbusch and Hannah Losey both added 11 kills. Wilgenbusch added 15 digs.
Lynsee Spatz had a career-high 42 assists.
