Men's cross country in action at National Catholic Invitational

The Mount St. Joseph University men's cross-country squad finished 23rd Friday at the National Catholic Championships 8K held at University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

The Mount had five runners in all compete led by Alex Griffin (Cleves, OH/Taylor), who finished the 8K run 243rd in a time of 31:25.2. Kevin Polking (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) came in 249th place with a time of 31:38.5.

The team will be back in action on Sept. 26 at the NCAA Division III Pre-Regional Meet 8K in Terre Haute, Ind.
