LOUISVILLE, Ky. - This weekend the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Louisville, Ky. to compete in the HCAC Championships. The Lions had 2 runners competing for the Women's team and three on the Men's team.
First, the women's team had a pair of freshman racing for the finish line. First was freshman
Kayla Hess (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) who finished 22nd out of 58 total runners and posted a time of 26:11.55. Next was freshman
Hannah Morgan (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) who finished 10th in the meet with a time of 25:17.19. Due to her incredible performance this season Hannah was also awarded the Newcomer award for the HCAC Conference!Â
Next the men's team had 3 runners compete this weekend, two freshman and a senior. First was freshman,
Jacob Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Clark Montessori) who finished 57th with a time of 31:58.55 in a field of 64 runners. Following Miller was the lone senior
Ben Gray (Napoleon, Ohio/Pettisville) who finished 52nd with a time of 31:18.94. Finally, the Lions' top performer on the day was freshman
Chayce Helms (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison). Helms finished 49th on the day with a time of 29:59.29.Â
This meet completed the Lions Cross Country season this year as we look ahead to the upcoming track and field season!Â
