CINCINNATI, Ohio - On Saturday, October 16th your Mount St. Joseph University Lions welcomed the Grizzlies of Franklin College to Schueler Field apart of the Homecoming Weekend festivities. The Lions were unable to take down the Grizzlies conceding two goals in the defeat.
The Grizzlies didn't waste any time getting on the board scoring in the 6th minute of play to give them a 1-0 lead. The Lions would respond with a few opportunities but could not find the net. At halftime the score read 1-0 in favor of Franklin.
After halftime the Lions pushed offensively but got beat on the counter attack in the 77th minute conceding a second goal moving the Grizzlies lead to 2-0. The Lions had opportunities late inside the final 5 minutes of the contest. But after a spectacular save from the Grizzlies keeper in the final minute the Lions were unable to find the net. At fulltime the Lions fell to the Grizzlies 2-0.

Matthew Hibbard (Cleves, Ohio/Taylor) had a solid game despite giving up 2 goals. Hibbard registered 9 saves in the contest. The Lions totaled 14 shots, 6 on target, but could not find the net.
