CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph University women's volleyball team took down Earlham over four sets on Saturday afternoon. The win moved the Lions to 13-4 overall on the season and 1-0 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Mount took the first set 25-17, registering 18 kills and a .359 hitting percentage in the set. The would go on to drop set number two 25-18, before roaring back to take the third set 25-17 before dominating the fourth and final set 25-14. For the match the Lions registered 57 kills to just 38 for Earlham, registering a .256 hitting percentage to just .140 for the Quakers.
Senior
Brooke Aselage led the way for the Lions offensively with 14 kills, junior
Addie Conley added 13 of her own.
Defensively it was junior
Erin Androne leading the way with 19 digs, with three other Lions getting double-digits. Aselage (13),
Sam Buschur (12) and
Grace Wilking (10) each played fantastic in the backrow as well.
The Lions will take to the court again on Monday night welcoming Georgetown College to the Harrington Center.
