TERRE HAUTE, Indiana - The Mount St. Joseph University women's volleyball team took to the road for the first time in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, traveling to Rose-Hulman. The Lions stayed unbeaten in HCAC play taking the match 25-18, 25-27, 25-17 and 25-14.
Brooke Aselage and
Grace Young led the way for the Lions offensively, each with 14 kills in the match. Young was dominant in the middle delivering those 14-kills while also hitting an outstanding .619.
Sam Buschur (29) and
Chloe Burton (22) combined for 51 assists in the match.
Morgan Whitaker and
Ruthie Bingham each registered double-digit kills in the match, Whitaker had 13 and Bingham added 12.
Defensively libero
Erin Androne led the way with 27 digs, the junior also led the team with 3 service aces. Joining Androne with double-digit digs was Asleage with 17, while Buschur and
Carly Caldwell each had 12.
Up next the Lions will continue HCAC play on Saturday, hitting the road again to face of with the Ravens of Anderson (9-7, 1-1 HCAC).
