DELAWARE, Ohio - On Saturday, April 9th your Mount St. Joseph University Lions competed in the Marv Frye Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. Conditions were not ideal as the meet saw snow, rain, and chilling temperatures. However, the Lions did not lose hope still producing results. 
On the men's team, 
Justin Dreyling had a fantastic performance placing first in Long Jump with a jump of 6.51m. 
Kelvin Nkansah also found success in Long Jump, jumping 5.86m, good for 8th overall. Senior 
Chase Samples had a solid meet competing in the 400m and 200m. In the 400m Dash Samples ran a 51.19s, good for fourth place with and 23.54s in the 200m earning twelfth. Sophomore 
Decklan Brophy impressed with a 38.05m throw in javelin, earning him sixth place. Freshman 
Ty Richardson just missed the podium in the 400m Hurdles timed at 1:04.73, placing tenth. Sophomore Matthew Bredis continued to have success in Discus, throwing a 39.19m, good for tenth as well.
 
On the women's team, Freshman 
Hannah Keith battled in the 400m Dash finishing third with a time of 1:02.88. In 200m, Keith also had success finishing in 6th place with a time of 27.55s. In the 5000m, Freshman 
Avery Moehring ran a solid race and finished eighth timed at 20:15.93. Senior Caitie Biehle competed in the 800m, running a 2:33.62 race, finishing in twelfth. Senior 
Emma Roth also ran the 800m, coming in right behind Biehle at 2:38.39 seconds.
 
UP NEXT: Your Mount St. Joseph University Lions are back in action this Saturday, April 16th when they travel back to Ohio Wesleyan University to compete the in All-Ohio meet.
