BEREA, Kentucky - The Mount St. Joseph Track & Field team competed in the 2025 HCAC Championships over the weekend. As a team the Lions finished 7th in the event earning 40 points.
Jack Tucker was the big story for the Lions in this one, the two-sport start was the HCAC champion in the Hammer throw with a mark of 57.97m. His mark was more than 8m further than the second place finisher, the win earned the Lions 10 points toward the team total.
In the Javelin throw it was
Dylan Sebastian earning the team two points with his 7th place finish.
The Mount earned two points in the 4x400 meter relay as the team of
Alex Schmidt,
Jacob Miller,
Zach McKenna and
Diego Yun finished in 7th place.
Two Lions earned points in the 200m dash, as Kendrick Sherrer earned five with a fourth place finish and Yun earned two with a seventh place finish.
Sherrer earned eight more points in the 100m dash, with a second place finish and a mark of 10.89 seconds. Yun also scored points in the event with a 8th place finish giving the team another point.
They scored 8 in the 4x100m relay, as the team of
Jalen Range, McKenna, Yun and Sherrer finished in second place.
The final two points for the Mount came in the Hammer throw as
Kaleb Fitzgerald finished in seventh place.
