CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph University track and field program hosted their first event of the 2024 indoor season, and the first event under head coach Adam Cokonaugher.
Women's Results
In the 60m dash sophomore
Olivia Forte was the best finishing Lion, with a 8.61 which was good for 5th place.
Emerson Pinger finished 2nd in the 200m dash, with a 28.80, and was the lone runner in the 400m putting up a 1:08.37.
In the 800m dash,
Anna Packer led a trio of Lions with a 2:48.38.
Julia Gooding followe dwith a 2:48.45 and
Sicilia Eshman was third with a 2:48.54.
Amanda Zerhusen was the winner in the mile run, with a time of 5:58.47.
In the women's distance medly the team of Zerhusen, Packer, Eshman and Pinger ran a 14:40.51.
Josie Ringer was the lone pole vaulter in the meet, clearing a height of 9-00.25.
In the women's field events
Londyn Frazier competed in both the long and triple jumps, with 15-05.00 in the long jump and 29-11.50 in the triple.
Madalyn Hudnall competed in both the shot put and weight throw with a 37-10.50 in the shot put and 41-02.50 in the weight throw, both scores placed her first in the event.
Sienna Slaughter also participated in the weight throw with a 41-01.50, finishing second.
Men's Results
In the 60m dash the Lions clinched every position from 2nd to 6th.
Diego Yun finished 2nd with a 7.07 just behind a runner from Xavier University.
Jalen Range (7.08) finished 3rd, Kendrick Sherrer (7.09) finished 4th and
Kyle Evers Smith (7.17) finished 5th.
Evers Smith took the win in the 200m dash, as the Lions had the top five finishers. He was followed in order by Yun, Sherrer, Range and
Zach McKenna.
In the 400m dash,
Nakia Scruggs was the only Lion to participate. Scruggs finished 2nd with a 54.05.
Jacob Miller finished 4th in the mile run with a 4:52.74.
In the 3000m run, Mitch Reveal finished in 5th place with a time of 9:56.06
Brady Glass cleared 10-11.75 in the pole vault which was good for 2nd place in the event.
Elyjah Lieras-Kelley took the win in the long jump with a 20-03.75 mark.
And finally
Kaleb Fitzgerald finished third in the weight throw with a 38-06.00 mark.

The Lions will have an extended break and will return to competition on January 11th. Once again hosting an indoor event in the Centennial Fieldhouse on the campus of Mount St. Joseph University.
