TERRE HAUTE, Indiana - The Mount St. Joseph University men's golf team headed to Terre Haute to compete in the HCAC Championships over the weekend. As a team the Lions finished in eighth place overall, but
Carter Stried made it a weekend to remember for the Lions.
Carter carded a three-round total score of 213, which was an even par score after the three 18-hole rounds. He was third after round one, with a two-under par 69 in round one. He followed that up with a second round 74, and a final round one-under 70. When he finished his third round, he was in the clubhouse alone in first place in the tournament. Eventually he finished just one shot behind the champion.
Danny Austing was the second highest finishing Lion, finishing 32nd overall with a three-round total of 245.
Ryan Palmisano finished in 39th overall with a three-round toal of 264.
Aaron Palmisano rounded out the Lions team with a 268.
