WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph men's soccer program got their season underway on Friday night at Wilmington. The Lions held a lead late in the first half but eventually fell 6-3 to the Quakers.
The Lions trailed early as Wilmington got the scoring started in the sixth minute. They would then answer back with a pair of goals,
Mohit Naphray scored his first in a Lions uniform followed by a penalty kick goal by
Willis Johnson.Â
The Quakers scored in the 40th minute to even the score heading into the half-time break. They would open the second half scoring four unanswered to take a commanding 6-2 lead. The Mount scored their final goal of the game in the 67th minute as
Hunter Garland found the back of the net.Â
UP NEXT: The Lions will be on the road again on Wednesday, September 4th as they head south to take on Asbury, the match is scheduled to get underway at 7 pm.
