ANDERSON, Indiana - The Mount St. Joseph women's basketball team won their fourth game in a row, and third HCAC game in a row on the road at Anderson on Saturday. For the second game in a row the Lions trailed in the second half but were able to outlast the Ravens for the win.
In a back and forth contest the teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 38, the Mount outscored Anderson 17-14 in the fourth to secure the win. With just 1:56 to play in the game the Lions looked to be in control, leading 53-45. The Ravens went on a 7-0 run, cutting the lead to just one with forty seconds to play. A pair of free-throws from
Karlee Mills with eight seconds on the clock pushed the lead back to three and secured the win.
Mills led a trio of Lions in double-figures with a team-high 15 points.
Hailey Guingrich secured her third double-double in a row with a 14 point,11 rebound effort adding 6 blocks.
Madison Drummonds was the third Lion in double-figures with 10 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 2 assists.Â
