Berea, KY – On January 15th, the Mount St. Joseph women's basketball team traveled to Berea College and secured an impressive 76-50 win over the Mountaineers.
The Lions set the tone early, dominating the first and third quarters. Mount St. Joseph's relentless defense and hustle were evident, with the team grabbing 51 rebounds and racking up nine steals, leaving the Mountaineers unable to keep pace.
Senior
Madison Drummonds led the rebounding efforts with 11 boards, supported by strong performances from
Hailey Guingrich,
Ella Stivers, and
Morgan Jenkins.
Anyiah Murphy was unstoppable on offense, leading all scorers with 19 points on an efficient 7-for-9 shooting night. The Lions' depth also shone through, with 24 points coming off the bench and 42 total points scored in the paint.
