Cincinnati, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph Lions basketball teams hosted a doubleheader against the Anderson University Ravens, with the women's team taking the court after the men's game. Despite a tough start, the women's team delivered an impressive performance, securing a commanding victory over the Ravens.
Offensively,
Anyiah Murphy led the way with a standout performance, contributing 25 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
Madison Drummonds also played a crucial role, pulling down seven rebounds to help anchor the Lions' efforts on both ends of the court.
The game's fast pace tested the Lions, but they maintained control throughout. Defensively, the Lions held the Ravens to just 17 points in both the first and second quarters. On offense, they excelled from beyond the arc, shooting an impressive 50% from three-point range in the first half, compared to the Ravens' 42%.
The Lions ultimately walked away with a well-earned
75-62 victory, adding another HCAC win to their season.
