Lions Fall at Bluffton in Regular Season Finale

BLUFFTON, OHIO – The Mount St. Joseph University men's soccer team was defeated by Bluffton University 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

The first half, the Beavers' offense came out strong, scoring two goals in the first fifteen minutes. The Lions settled in and had multiple chances to score but could not convert. Bluffton added another goal in the thirty-first minute, taking a 3-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Mount's offense came out firing, as Brady Diedenhofer scored off an assist from Nathaniel Knuth within the first two minutes, cutting the lead to two. Less than eight minutes later, Presley Boyle scored off a pass from Mohit Naphray, making the score 3-2 in favor of Bluffton. The Mount took ten more shots in the second half but couldn't find the back of the net, ultimately falling 3-2.

UP NEXT: The Lions will travel to Bluffton, Ohio, to take on Bluffton University on Saturday, November 1, in the HCAC Tournament quarterfinals. The kickoff time is still to be determined.
