CARMEL, Indiana — The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 All-League awards, with 17 Mount St. Joseph Lions earning honors.
The Lions placed nine players on the All-HCAC First Team. Offensively, junior quarterback Jaxon Schreiber was selected in his first season as the Lions' starter after breaking school records for completions, attempts, and passing yards, while also leading the NCAA in touchdown passes. His top two receivers, Eli Aston and Michael Hunkus, joined him on the first team after combining for 138 receptions, 34 touchdowns, and 2,339 yards. Two freshman specialists rounded out the offensive selections, as punter Connor Yeager and return specialist Joey Thamann each earned first-team recognition in their debut seasons.
On defense, the Lions added four more first-team honorees, led by preseason All-America linebacker Luke Paff, who tallied 99 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, one sack, and an interception. Safety Brady Pierce joined him after finishing with six interceptions, nine pass breakups, and 65 tackles — second most on the team. Luke Fortkamp, who recorded 58 tackles despite missing time due to injury, and defensive tackle Brock Harris, who added 34 tackles, also secured first-team spots.
Five Lions were named to the All-HCAC Second Team: Cam Fuller, Donnie Lewis, Eli LaFrange, Erick Davis Jr., and Miles Harding.
Rounding out the honors, Patrick Connor, Logan Julian, and Max Spencer each earned Honorable Mention All-HCAC recognition.
