CINCINNATI, Ohio - Postseason awards continue to roll in for the Mount St. Joseph women's soccer team. Following winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) regular season championship, the Lions earned four of the five major league awards, six players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team and today we learned a pair of players were named All-Region by the United Soccer Coaches.
Mary Anhofer who was named the HCAC's midfielder of the year this season was recognized as a second-team all-region performer. The Lions leader in the midfield, Anhofer played 1339 minutes this season, and was second on the team with 19 points. On the season she scored four goals, doing the majority of her damage as a distributor. She led the HCAC with 11 assists this season, consistently aiding in the Lions ability to score in the final third, while also handling most of the free and corner kicks for the team.
Kendal Fox was the league's offensive player of the year this season, and earned third-team all-region honors. In her sophomore season, she became the Lions offensive finisher. Ending the season with a league leading 12 goals and 27 points. She also delivered three assists this season.
