CARMEL, Indiana - The Mount St. Joseph women's soccer has been picked to finish third in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings in the leagues annual coaches poll released today!
The Lions are entering a new era under coach
Marc Sabin, but bring back a stellar cast of characters to lead the team. They bring back a quartet of first-team all league performers from last year's team that posted an unbeaten 8-0-1 record in the regular season. That group is led by
Kendal Fox who was the leagues offensive player of the year and
Mary Anhofer who was the leagues midfielder of the year, and newcomer of the year
Preslee Rugg, the Lions other firrst-teamer was junior midfielder
Rachel Ginn. Their lone second-team returner is junior defender
Payge Callahan.Â
Senior goalkeeper
Megan Kallmeyer was listed by the league as another player to watch for the Lions in 2026.
The Lions will open the 2026 season on September 1, welcoming Bethany College to Schueler Field.Â
