The College of Mount St. Joseph men's volleyball team had four matches in three days this weekend at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, as they took on Midwest-III Conference opponents. The Lions fell to Carthage College, Fontbonne University, Milwaukee School of Engineering and Thiel College by identical 3-0 scores, dropping their 2011 record to 1-13 overall, 0-8 in the conference. The Lions are back in action on Mar. 18 when they play at Siena Heights University.
Leading the way for the Lions during the four matches in Wisconsin were: Jacob McCormick (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville), 29 kills and six blocks; Brian Thompson (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek), 41 assists; Josh Fisher (Fairfield, OH/Fairfield), two service aces and six blocks; and Elliott Miller (Cincinnati, OH/Elder), 24 digs.
