Box Score
Host Thomas More College scored early and often on Saturday afternoon, as they posted a 75-6 win over the Mount in the 2012 season finale game - the Bridge Bowl - for both teams. The Lions finish the season with a 4-6 overall mark, their first sub-.500 record since 2001, when they recorded an 0-10 mark.
The Mount struggled throughout the game to get their offense going, while the Saints' offense scored a TD on seven straight possessions to open the game. The Lions first eight drives ended with a punt, while their final drive of the first half was halted at the intermission. Thomas More widended its lead to 55-0 early in the third quarter, after a long scoring pass play, before the Lions finally got on the scoreboard, thanks to a 12-yard TD pass from Brian Pitzer (South Salem. OH/McClain) to running back James Clay (Louisville, KY/duPoint).
Clay led the Mount with 122 yards rushing on 20 carries while Pitzer was six-of-25 for 92 yards passing. Rob Blundred (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) had two receptions for 57 yards. Greg Tabar (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) tied a Mount single game record with 11 punts. David Brausch (Batavia, OH/Batavia) and Joseph Frakes (Columbus, OH/Hamilton Township) each had seven tackles for the Lions, while Mike Tepe (Springboro, OH/Springboro) had an interception.
