In their final weekend of action for the 2012 season, the Mount dropped two matches on Saturday, losing 3-0 to Milwaukee School of Engineering and 3-1 to the Univerity of California Santa Cruz. The Lions fall to 4-19 on the season, 1-5 in the CVC West Division. They are scheduled to complete season action on Apr. 1 in Milwaukee, WI with final conference matches against Carthage College and Fontbonne University.
Alec King (Cincinnati, OH/La Salle) had 10 kills and six digs for the Lions against MSOE, while teammate Nick Jennings (Indianapolis, IN/Roncalli) had 20 assists and seven digs. MSOE won the match with scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-12, to claim their 17th victory of the season.
Brad Miller (Convoy, OH/Crestview) posted a Mount single-match high tying 15 kills the team's four-set loss to Santa Cruz. Luke Eschenbach (Cincinnati, OH/La Salle) had 29 assists while King chipped in 19 digs. Eschenbach and Greg Mayhall (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest) added three blocks each, as the Mount fell, 15-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-20, as Santa Cruz improved to 7-0 in the CVC West.
