THE BASICS:
Rose-Hulman dominated the action from the opening tip. The Lions only registered one made field goal in the first 20:00 minutes of play. They trailed 37-4 at the break, and although they played much better in the second half, they were never really in contention.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Mount St. Joseph got off to a rough start against Rose-Hulman, surrendering 20 points in the first quarter and then 17 points in the second quarter. The Lions went in the the half trailing 37-4.
The second half was much more favorable for the Lions. They were able to claw into the Rose-Hulman lead, with the 3rd and 4th quarters being their two highest-scoring quarters on the day. However, in the end the Mount St. Joseph effort was not enough, and they fell to the Fighting Engineers by a score of 59-23.
STANDOUTS:
Taylor Brown led the Lions in scoring with 10 points and also added 3 rebounds. She also played a team-high 34 minutes.
