THE BASICS:
The Mount St. Joseph men's volleyball team could not find a way to close two tight sets and fell to No. 11 Dominican 3-1 to drop to 2-2 in the MCVL.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions hit a sizzling .600 in game one and rolled to a 25-18 victory. Unfortunately Dominican was as hot in game 2 as the Lions were in the first, and the Stars rolled to a 25-9 victory, hitting .500 along the way. Games 3 and 4 were a battle with Dominican making the big plays in big moments to win 27-25 and 25-23.
The loss is the second in a row for the Lions, who are 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the MCVL
STANDOUTS
Alex Vohland led all players with 18 kills. Lyle Lehmann and Zach Kuebler each added 10 digs. Nathan Herdeman added 41 assists.

The Lions take on MCVL opponent Adrian College on Friday at 5 p.m. in the Harrington Center.
