Box Score DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Mount St. Joseph went into the weekend in search of a big conference win over HCAC opponent Defiance. Going into the game Defiance was ranked second in the HCAC and looking to stay one game back of conference-leading Rose Hulman. The Lions, who were battered with injuries, battled hard throughout the game. However, they went into halftime down by a score of 34-17. The second half was also a tough one for Mount St. Joseph, as they just did not have the depth to compete with Defiance with only seven healthy players. The game ended up with the final score of 75-30 in favor of Defiance.
GAME NOTES
- Emily Townsend had another solid game, scoring 10 points on 5-11 shooting from the field. She also collected 2 rebounds.
- Maria Susong contributed some good minutes off of the bench for the Lions, grabbing a team-high 4 rebounds.
- The Lions were able to force 14 turnovers in their effort against Defiance.
