Box Score Hanover, Ind. -- On Wednesday night Mount St. Joseph hit the road for a conference game at Hanover College. The Lions came out fast, grabbing a lead in the first quarter behind a solid team effort that saw six different Lions score. The second quarter proved costly for Mount St. Joseph, as they would turn the ball over on four occasions in just a short period of time before halftime. The Lions had no answer for the Panthers when they came out of halftime. Hanover got extremely hot from three-point land, shooting 63% from beyond the arc in the second half. Their hot shooting made it impossible for Mount St. Joseph to catch up and make a comeback, as the Lions dropped the game by a score of 68-55.
GAME NOTES
- Lainee Studer (Pleasant Plain / Little Miami) led all scorers with 17 points on Wednesday. She also got her hand in on 9 steals, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists.
- Hayley Hudson (Ross / Ross) was huge for the Lions all day. She pulled down a team-best 8 rebounds.
- Emily Townsend (Dillsboro / South Dearborn was also in double figures for the Lions, dropping 10 points and pulling in 4 boards.
- The Lions played a great team game, as all eight Mount St. Joseph players scored in the game.
- The Lions were smothering all night, forcing 20 Hanover turnovers.
