Box Score CINCINNATI, OH – The Mount St. Joseph University women's basketball team took on the Fightin' Engineers of Rose-Hulman in an HCAC match-up on Wednesday. The Lions were unable to overcome their halftime deficit as the fell to the FIghtin' Engineers 72-33.
Entering the game, The Lions were coming off of a three game win streak and hoping to bring home another big win. The Lions started the first quarter off strong, down only by one with a score of 18-17. Aliyah Huff (Cincinnati, OH/Roger Bacon) recorded 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist during the first quarter. However, from that moment on The Mount struggled to gain control of the game while the Fightin' Engineers continued to build their lead.
Two Lions, Alehia Tucker (Covington, KY/Holy Cross) and Maddie Haberthy (Cincinnati, OH/Mother of Mercy), both led the team with 8 points each, Tucker also recording 5 rebounds and 1 steal and Haberthy recording 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
