Box Score Cincinnati, Ohio- It was Senior Night at the Harrington Center. The Lions honored two Seniors, Jaleah Fair-Harris and Aliyah Huff. The two Seniors were able to finish their final home game of their careers on a very high night. This evening the Mount was able to beat Defiance College by a score of 92-63.
The Lions received solid scoring contributions from both Huff and Fair-Harris. Huff opened the Lions scoring with a layup 2 minutes into the ball game. After this the Lions were able to go on to score 22 total 1st Quarter points. The 2nd saw the Lions offense slow down, however Maddie Haberthy was able to help the Lions extend their lead scoring 9 points. This allowed the Lions to go into the break leading 36-25.
Coming out of the Halftime Break the Lions caught fire for the entire 2nd half of play. In the 3rd the Mount scored 28 total points off of 50% shooting from the field and from behind the 3-point line. Both, Haberthy and Chloe Jansen was able to hit 2 3-pointers to extend the Lions lead to 64-41. The 4th saw the exact same offensive production for the Lions as they once again scored 28 points, Jansen was able to lead the Lions offense in the 4th. Jansen scored 8 for the Lions in the 4th, sinking two more 3-point shots. This allowed the Lions to close out their senior night with a 92-63 win.
The Lions had all but one player notch the scoring column on the evening. Haberthy led all scoring with 34 points before fouling out early in the 4th, she also was able to pull down 3 rebounds, 3 assists and had 3 takeaways. Jansen had a fantastic game, falling just two assists shy of a triple double with 17 points, team high 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Huff left the court with 7 points, 4 rebounds and an impressive 4 blocked shots. Fair-Harris added 5 points in her final home game in a Lions uniform.
