WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Mount St. Joseph women's golf team is set to participate in the NCAA National Championships for the first time in program history! The Lions earned their spot in the tournament after securing their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship in program history.
The tournament will be played at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia beginning May 13th. The tournament will last four days but will be cut down to the top-15 teams after the first two rounds of play.Â
There are two different courses within the resort that the Lions will play they will open the tournament on Tuesday on the Plantation course, teeing off from 11:45-12:21. Similar to other tournaments there will be five Lions playing in the tournament with only the top four scores counting toward the team score.Â
The Lions will be led by the HCAC's individual champion
Amy Smith, she will be joined in the lineup by
Debra Brogan, Liv Hoinke, Alyssa Perry and
Emma Winland.Â
