The College of Mount St. Joseph rolled to a 3-0 home win today over Anderson University, and moved into first place of the HCAC. The Lions, 9-14 overall, sit atop the conference standings with a 5-1 mark. They will resume play on Oct. 19 with an HCAC match at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Kat Roedig (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) led a strong Lions' hitting attack against the Ravens, connecting on 11 kills while teammate Hannah Vanarsdall (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) added eight kills. Roedig also chipped in four block assists. Jaclyn Stenger (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) had a team-high 16 digs and three service aces while Torrie Whitmore (Mason, OH/Mason) added 26 assists and 13 digs. Sarah Scheid (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy) had five kills, 13 digs and four block assists.
