Host Hanover College knocked the Lions from the conference unbeaten ranks when they won tonight in four sets, 19-25, 25-18, 25-15, 26-24. With the loss the Mount slips to 7-13 overall, and 3-1 in the HCAC, falling into a third place tie with the Panthers in the HCAC. Defiance (3-0) and Transylvania (2-0) sit atop the conference standings.
The Mount is back in action on Oct. 7 with a match at Trine University.
Kat Roedig (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) led the Mount against Hanover with 13 kills, two block solos and eight block assists, while teammate Michelle Woods (Ft. Wright, KY/Newport Central Catholic) added a team-high 20 digs. Bethani Ritter (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) chipped in 17 digs.
