The College of Mount St. Joseph women's lacrosse team scored three late goals but fell short today of MWLC-foe Albion College on the road, 17-12. The Lions, 1-7 overall, 0-2 in the conference, will return to conference action on Apr. 3 when they play at Adrian College.
The Lions trailed by a 10-5 margin at the half, but would get no closer in the second half. Amanda Holmes (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) led all scorers with seven goals, while teammates Chrissy O'Hara (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy), three goals, and Holly Hubble (Cincinnati, OH/Loveland), two goals ompleted the Mount's scoring. Albion held a 25-24 edge in shots on goals.
